Theo Germaine, a Chicago based actor, landed their first major role playing witty campaign manager James Sullivan in Netflix’s hit comedy series, The Politician, while working in a local coffee shop.

Germaine, who identifies as trans non-binary, made their acting debut in the 2019 teen comedy drama, alongside Ben Platt, Zoey Deutch, and Lucy Boynton, and said it was 'refreshing' to not be 'pigeon-holed into playing a character that has to unpack and provide explanations of gender identity for mainstream audiences'. The aspiring star is also filming opposite Abby McEnany and Julia Sweeney in Showtime’s upcoming comedy series Work in Progress scheduled for release in December 2019.
